Francesca Melluso / Federico Pipia

Francesca Melluso Born in 1994, she graduated from the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica “Silvio d’Amico” in 2018. She has worked as an actress in spoken theatre with various directors and presented her first theatrical directing works at the Contaminazioni Festival. She has collaborated as an assistant director and acting coach at Teatro Biondo in Palermo. She furthered her studies in the performing arts at the Socìetas Institute for Research in Applied Arts and at Scuola Conia, developing a research practice centered on the body and the non-logical dimension of language. In2024, she specialized in Social and Community Theatre at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. She has worked as a performer with Virgilio Sieni, Claudia Castellucci, and for the ConFormazioni Festival. She collaborates with director and sound designer Federico Pipia on the creation of the performance Astolfo 13(Teatro Biondo), the radio drama The Place You Were Looking For, and Mykestesia, a performative and dance-film project selected at several international festivals and winner of the Bodyscape residency call by Danza Urbana 25/26. She is currently also engaged as an actress in two film projects in production.

Composer, director, and sound artist, born in Palermo in 1996
Currently a PhD Student in Sound and Performance Studies. His areas of interest include theatre, performance, cinema and audiovisual practices, improvisation, traditional and acousmatic composition, live electronics, andmusic production. He has presented his projects in numerous international theatres, venues, and festivals (including Montreux Jazz Festival, SocìetasTeatro Comandini, Compañía Nacional de Danza de España, Danza Urbana, Segesta Teatro Festival, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, TeatroBiondo Palermo, Tempo Reale, Farm Cultural Park, among many others), often with opportunities to produce new works. His research focuses on therelationship between sound, word, body, and space, and on the integration oftraditional techniques with new technologies. After obtaining a diploma in Scenography and Visual Arts in Palermo, in 2015he enrolled at the G. B. Martini Conservatory of Bologna, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Music and a Master’s degree in Sound Design, both with honors. Among others, he studied with Luigi De Angelis(Fanny & Alexander) and Francesco Giomi (Tempo Reale).
