Aloisio/Marullo

Federica Aloisio and Federica Marullo have been pursuing a shared creative process since 2016 with the performance Studio a Tre Ombre, after having performed together between 2013 and 2016 in operatic productions directed by Emma Dante. Between October and December 2017 they worked as assistants to choreographer Virgilio Sieni alongside maestro Mimmo Cuticchio, and from 2025 they have initiated a new research and creative process that resulted in the performance Trame.

Federica Aloisio is a dancer, choreographer and dance educator. She trained between Catania and Palermo working with organisations such as Zappalà Danza, Giovanna Velardi’s company and Muxarte. In theatre she trained and worked from 2012 to 2016 with Emma Dante. From 2017 she developed her authorial project in the duo VICARI/ALOISIO and has participated in multidisciplinary performances with Angelo Sicurella, with whom she founded Limone Lunare. She is vice-president of Genia and is active in organising the Prima Onda festivals.

Federica Marullo is a dancer and choreographer who began her professional activity at the Teatro Massimo, participating in numerous operatic productions as a dancer and mime. From 2007 she has developed an artistic path between dance and theatre, collaborating with Teatro Libero, Giuseppe Muscarello’s company Muxarte and Emma Dante, working across the Teatro Massimo, La Scala and the Rome Opera House. She is an assistant to Virgilio Sieni on the project Palermo Arte del Mediterraneo and created the choreography for Il ballo delle ingrate for the Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona. Between 2019 and 2022 she collaborated with Evgeny Kozlov. In 2024 she won the Cortoindanza festival with Tupétupá, a project of which she is both creator and performer. She is currently involved in new dance and theatre productions and teaches contemporary dance.
