Vicari/Aloisio

Vicari/Aloisio is a project based in Palermo, produced by PinDoc. It was born from the encounter between dancers Sabrina Vicari and Federica Aloisio, who come from different training and artistic backgrounds in contemporary dance, theatre, and the performing arts.
Sabrina Vicari, after training in Italy, moved abroad, where she worked for several years with the Centre Chorégraphique National de Nantes, directed by Claude Brumachon and Benjamin Lamarche. She subsequently returned to Italy, where she now collaborates with director Emma Dante.
Federica Aloisio attended the MoDem programme of Compagnia Zappalà Danza, directed by Roberto Zappalà. She has worked with Emma Dante in several opera productions and in the show Io, Nessuno e Polifemo. She has also collaborated as assistant on a project by Virgilio Sieni in Palermo. She has danced for Compagnia Giovanna Velardi and for Muxarte, directed by Giuseppe Muscarello, and since 2018 has been involved in the organisation of ConFormazioni Festival.
The project is completed by Angelo Sicurella, responsible for sound design and musical composition.
Eoika is the company’s first work and won the 2017 edition of Strabismi. Anapoda is the second creation by the Sicilian duo.
