Points of view, points of reference, points of departure and arrival, points of encounter and separation, lived moments, instants that follow one another in a dramaturgy in which different characters give rise to stage actions in continuous becoming. These are the premises, the starting points for reflection, for a new choreographic creation by Compagnia Excursus, directed by Ricky Bonavita and produced by PinDoc.
The work is enriched by the collaboration with the LemanCellos ensemble, three musicians who perform live original musical compositions and rearrangements of contemporary repertoire pieces. Ample space is devoted to the emotional dimension, which develops and transforms through the interaction between the artists on stage. Dancers and musicians, driven by new creative and compositional practices, challenge their own sensibilities at every stage encounter, exploring, in a dreamlike atmosphere, a wide range of emotions. Bodies search for one another, meet, and become the protagonists of a feeling in continuous becoming; the encounter with the other is a mirror, but also an opportunity to bring to the surface individual aspects that would otherwise lie dormant. Within a poetic atmosphere, a narrative dimension is deliberately abandoned, and moving through the realm of suggestion, music and dance evoke images, sensations and perceptions in which the audience can find their own personal point of view. Cellos and percussion produce sounds that, piercing the veil of reality, transform it into a place that gives space to the expression of the soul, producing a cathartic effect in the audience.
