Maria Stella Pitarresi

Maria Stella Pitarresi began her artistic career in the Piccoli Danzatori (Little Dancers) Company of Teatro Massimo, Palermo. At the age of 16, she joined the company Muxarte. She improved the study on movement at Scenario Pubblico with Roberto Zappalà, collaborating with his company in 2011. In 2012 she collaborated with Company Petrillo Danza for the production One plus One = One and later with Company Gabriella Secchi (Florence); she participates as a dancer in the project Children in Braille, and debuted as a soloist with the company Flux Danza. She took part in workshops by Anton Lachky, Lali Ayguade, Peter Jasko, Ernesto Edivaldo, Benedict Mottart and Julio Cesar Iglesias (Brussels). She presented her project Blu Ottobre at Galleria Toledo (Naples) and was selected for the festival Dominio Pubblico at Teatro India (Rome). She joined the study of contemporary circus from September 2017, working with the Circ'Opificio (Palermo). She hab been guested in the festival as: Gabriella Stazio’s Residanza; Marosi - Stromboli; Festival Present Future; Performare Festival and Cortoindanza. In 2019 she began to collaborate with the company Cie Twain of Loredana Parrella.
