Valerio De Vita, graduated I and II level in Contemporary Dance at AND - Accademia Nazionale di Danza, he collaborates since 2007 as a choreographer and dancer with Compagnia Excursus directed by Ricky Bonavita and Theodor Rawyler. Since his first creations he has tried to discover and reaffirm objectives, desires, complicity or diversity, expectations and mediations, through the body language in continuous connection with his soul. His choreography is influenced also by training experiences with Ana Laguna and Pompea Santoro, direct collaborators of Mats Ek, and by Gaga studied with dancers of the Batsheva Dance Company. Valerio’s work is supported by Compagnia Excursus, since 2018 by PinDoc and he won several prizes, including the 2nd Prize of the international choreography contest "Premio RomaDanza 2015" XIV edition for "ScontrINcontri" with the original music of Massimiliano Cerioni and the co-production of CRM Music Research Center. "ScontrINcontri" and the solos "Wild-eyed" and "Giglio di mare" have been invited to festivals as Kuopio Dance Festival, Finland; Festival ArteScienza, Rome; Quelli che la danza, Salerno; Invito alla Danza, Rome; Il gesto e l'anima, Turin; Festival Visioni in L'Aquila; TenDance, Latina; CassinOFF Social Theater Festival; Oltre la Linea, Naples. After shorter works he presented in 2016 "L’Alchimista Bianco", a contemporary dance show for children, directed by Maurizio Stammati, co-produced with the TBB Teatro Bertolt Brecht in Formia with the support of the MIBACT and the Lazio Region. As a dancer he also collaborated with Celli Contemporary Ballet, Botega Dance Company and Compagnia il Cerchio e il Centro for shows and tours in Italy, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Russia and the United States.
